For its 5th birthday, the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts is for the first time hosting an exceptional exhibition, Banksy: Birth of an icon. 

This exposition, curated by Steve Lazarides, will carry you through the outstanding work of legendary British graffiti artist Banksy. From street walls to an actual museum, you will be able to enjoy the art of this mystery artist that keeps surprising people around the world. This exhibition will trace back to his satirical street art and subversive epigrams though works from various media such as sculpture, canvas and authentic street blinders. 

Along with Banksy’s originals, Georgian street artists are featured: Gagosha, Mishiko, Sulukauri, Semichka, Koska and Sick’n Tired. Their work witness their style and impact on Georgian culture. The museum intends to enable people to ‘meet the legend’ Banksy as well as supporting Georgian street art.
